Employee Spotlight

Meet Dara Hagen, a valued member of the South Central Transit (SCT) team who has been with SCT for 12 years. Dara works at the Breese office, serving as a floating driver and can provide coverage for any SCT route, making her a true jack-of-all-trades when it comes to helping wherever she is needed.

One of Dara’s favorite things about her job is being able to jump in and help with any route or task that needs to be done. She enjoys knowing that when someone needs her, she can be there to lend a hand. Over the years, Dara has met many people through SCT and has formed several new friendships along the way.

Dara also loves the fun and camaraderie that comes with working at SCT. She enjoys joking around with her coworkers and having a good time while getting the job done. Her positive attitude and willingness to help make her an important part of the SCT team.

Outside of work, Dara enjoys Christmas shopping for the kids when SCT participates in the Adopt-a-Family program. She says she loves giving presents to others, which makes this one of the things she especially enjoys about the program.

Dara has been married to her husband, Kevin Hagen, for 15 years. Together, they have built a family that includes their “fur babies” — three dogs and three cats! Their newest addition is a very spoiled six-month-old puppy who has already fit right into the family.

We are grateful to have Dara as part of the South Central Transit family. Her willingness to help, sense of humor, and caring spirit are just a few of the qualities that make her a wonderful part of our team.
