“MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN OUR COMMUNITIES” became a reality this Christmas for two local families.
Staff, employees and Elves from South Central Transit’s Clinton and Marion County facilities participated in the BCMW and WJBD Radio Adopt-a-Family program. For fifteen consecutive years Elves from the SCT organization have adopted, donated, shopped and wrapped gifts for children from the surrounding communities.
This year seven children ages six to seventeen years old were adopted from two different families. Each child receives at least one item from the categories listed on their wish list which includes warm clothing, a coat and a toy.
Many SCT employees expressed an interest in continuing with the adopt-a-family program even though employee layoffs were expected due to the State budget issues.
Thank you to all of the countless volunteers, contributors and program organizers who put their heart into making this program successful year after year.
YOU truly are “MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN OUR COMMUNITIES”
