You’ll want to “Save the Date” for this event! Carlyle Lake 50th Anniversary Celebration is scheduled for the second weekend in June, 2017. This will be a three-day event packed with something for everyone!
The Clinton County Historical Society will host a Civil War Living History event on Saturday, May 6th, 9 – 4 p.m. and Sunday, May 7th, 9 – 2 p.m. to kick off the 50th Anniversary Celebration. The Turner Brigade, a reenactment organization that portrays infantry, artillery, and engineering units of Missouri Union volunteers and civilians of the Civil War period will be on hand with displays, exhibits, and demonstrations of the soldier’s life during the War Between the States.
Other local Civil War history buffs will be present to show off equipment, artifacts, and share their Civil War knowledge with visitors. This location event will be the grassy area adjacent to the Mariners Village Resort, near the Dam West Recreational area and adequate parking will be available.
