“My experience with SCT”….. My name is Jazmine and I am a single mother of three. I travel weekly between Carbondale and Mt. Vernon but I don’t usually have reliable transportation and that’s why I choose to ride with South Central Transit (SCT). They have been a blessing to me!  I use the Amtrak train from the Carbondale Station to the Centralia Station and then walk one block to the SCT Transportation Center where I then use the SCT public shuttle buses to continue to Mt. Vernon.         The Dispatch/Scheduling team are so friendly with helping me make sure I have my route/schedule planned out and the best part of it all is that it is super affordable! SCT is easily accessible and I love that they have the public shuttle routes that get you closer to home!
