In 2013 SCT replaced the sale of daily tickets and monthly passes and began offering transportation money cards instead. Money cards are convenient, affordable, non-expiring and are universal or valid for use with all services provided by SCT.  This is a punch card and must be presented to the SCT driver for validation at the time of each boarding. Cards can be purchased in full or in part.  Each money card contains 2-$10.00 blocks of .50 cent squares and 1-$30.00 block of $1.00 squares for total of $50.00. Purchase of a full card entitles the purchaser to receive $8.00 in additional monies via card value (4 additional $1.00 squares and 8 additional .50 cent squares). Adult/Child money card purchases as outlined above.

Military, veterans, disabled and senior citizens may qualify for the $30.00 blocked squares to be discounted 1/2 price or $15.00. No discounts are available on the $10.00 blocked squares. Full money card purchase with qualifications listed below for anyone in these categories is $35.00.

Military/Veterans – Clients will be responsible to show DD214 papers or Military/Veterans ID card. Senior Citizens (60 & over) – Clients will be responsible to show ID. Persons with Disabilities – Clients will be responsible to show a State issued Disability ID.
