South Central Transit continues collecting goods through Sunday to help Stuff-the-Bus for Texas flood relief. Tonight, SCT will assist with collecting donated items during the dedication of Ken Hunt Field at Mt. Vernon Township High School. On Saturday, 9/9 an SCT bus will be on site at the Mt. Vernon Wal-Mart from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to accept donated items. Suggested items to donate are; Shampoo, Soap, Toothpaste, Paper towels, Band Aides, Baby Wipes, Diapers, Household Cleaning supplies such as Bleach, Laundry Soap, Trash Bags, Mops, Buckets, Work Gloves or non-perishable food items. 

Centralia and Carlyle Wal-Mart Stores have SCT collection bins located inside each store entrance for anyone who wishes to donate suggested items at those locations.
