Just three weeks until our Canned Food Drive begins! Once again this year the drive will be “In Memory” of our Friend and Co-worker, Russ Wilson. Many of you knew Russ but if not, he was very soft spoken, respectful, true gentleman that was very well known throughout the community for his many years of service and dedication. SCT was very fortunate as we were blessed with Russ for several years as one of our Jefferson County drivers.
The 2018 Canned Food Drive marks the twentieth year in which our clients and their donations have provided assistance to countless food pantries throughout the community.
November 1st – 10th, 2018 client fares will be covered by donating canned goods or non-perishable food items in place of the cash fare. All items collected will be donated to local pantries within the county in which they were received.
Clients who wish to participate in the canned food drive can contribute on any public shuttle route, demand response ride or to resolve any outstanding fees! The drive will be conducted in all six counties SCT serves (Marion, Jefferson, Franklin, Perry, Washington and Clinton).
