South Central Transit will be adjusting its services that are affected by the Crooked Creek IDOT Highway 161 Construction as follows. Please Plan Accordingly!
Effective Wednesday, January 2, 2018 our services to the Kaskaskia College main campus will be limited to 3 times a day.
Due to the long-term construction plans, the Cardinals Shuttle will not be traveling to the KC Main Campus hourly as we have in the past!
Our first arrival at the College will be at 7:55 am and depart at 8 am. Purple Martin transfers will be met at this location. On the trip back East to the Transportation Center we will be omitting the Walmart stop at 8:10 and the Dollar General at 8:22 to ensure that shuttle remains on time.
Our second arrival at the college is scheduled for 12 noon. This will be a coordinated effort utilizing the Cardinals 2 Shuttle with a transfer of clients over to the 161 KC Detour Shuttle at Walmart at 11:54 a.m. and arriving at the college at noon. All riders that return from the college will be using the 161 KC Detour Shuttle. This shuttle will transport riders to the Transportation Center. Any additional services can be arranged from this shuttle hub.
Our final arrival at the college for the day is at 4 p.m. Again, this will be a coordinated effort utilizing the Cardinals 2 Shuttle and the 161 KC Detour Shuttle. At 3:54 p.m., the 161 KC Detour Shuttle will accept transfers from any Cardinals 2 riders going to the college. The Purple Martin out of Clinton County will now meet the 161 KC Detour Shuttle for all transfers. The 161 KC Detour Shuttle will transport riders returning from the college to the Transportation Center. Any additional services can be arranged from this shuttle hub.
