NOTICE January 4, 2019
With the IDOT replacement of the Crooked Creek Bridge, the Highway 161
Detour and the restricted access to Jolliff Bridge Road, South Central
Transit is making additional route adjustments that will affect the following
shuttles, Cardinals, Purple Martin and Marlins.
Effective Monday, January 7, 2019 transportation between Centralia and
Kaskaskia College Main Campus and Christ Our Rock Lutheran High
School will be limited and will only be accessible by using our Marlins
Shuttle from Centralia and our Purple Martin Shuttle from Clinton County.
Our first arrival at KC Main Campus will be at 7:30 a.m. and C.O.R. Lutheran High
School at 7:35 a.m. on the Marlins Shuttle which departs from Citgo, Central City at
7:00 a.m. and Sandoval Casey’s at 7:08 a.m.
Our second arrival at KC Main Campus will be at 11:30 a.m. on the Marlins Shuttle
departing from Citgo, Central City at 11:00 a.m. and Sandoval Casey’s at 11:10 a.m.
Last return service will be on the Marlins Shuttle arriving at C.O.R. Lutheran High
School at 4:25 p.m. and at KC Main Campus at 4:30 p.m. for return transportation to
Sandoval Casey’s at 4:50 p.m. and Citgo, Central City at 5:00 p.m.
Transportation to/from the Citgo, Central City is available by accessing the Cubs
Shuttle.
The Purple Martin Shuttle from Clinton County to KC Main Campus will still arrive at
7:55 a.m. and return for pick up at 4:00 p.m. however there will not be a transfer
available to Centralia.
The KC Main Campus and C.O.R. Lutheran High School stops will be omitted from the
Cardinals 1 & 2 Shuttle Route. The last stop going west on the Cardinals Shuttle will be
at WalMart.
Fares for the Marlins Shuttle is $2.00 per trip. And the Cubs Shuttle remains at .50
cents per trip.
