Hi! My name is Chris Garner, Clinton County Supervisor for South Central Transit. I joined SCT on December 26, 2006. Prior to that I was employed at Community Link as a DSP/Bus Driver. I had recently been promoted to a Trainer 3 with Community Link when I heard that South Central Transit would be assuming the C.L. transportation fleet and routes. To be honest, because I so enjoyed working with the participants and driving the routes I was concerned and even hesitant about driving for SCT. After inquiring with others about the South Central Transit organization, I could see for myself that they would be a great company to work for. So, I decided I was going to give them a try and was one of the last C.L. drivers to make the switch to SCT. The rest is History! I began driving with SCT and was still able to interact daily with the C.L. clients. I guess I would say “I still had the best of both worlds!” 

I later became Lead Driver at the Clinton County Facility and am now the Supervisor. My decision back in 2006 was the BEST decision I’ve ever made! I can’t say enough about SCT, they are the BEST company I have ever worked for and they treat their employees like family.

I look forward to being involved as SCT continues to grow and work in ways to make our routes and services more accessible in all six counties.
