On January 29, 2021 the CDC issued an order that implements President Biden’s executive order 13998 – Promoting COVID-19 Safety in Domestic and International Travel.

Effective immediately, in keeping with the order from the CDC, SCT has postings in vehicles to make the public aware of the new Federal law. Drivers will wear a mask while operating an SCT vehicle and remind passengers of the new law and request compliance. Children under 2 years of age are exempt from the new Federal law while persons with a disability who cannot wear a mask safely because of the disability as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act are also exempt from the new Federal law.
