Our South Central Transit Employee Spotlight is shining on Keith Barthelemy. Keith’s role at SCT is lead driver in Salem and he has been with SCT 4 ½ years now. In 2022, Keith participated in the Rural Transit Assistance Center (RTAC) Bus Roadeo where he placed 3rd overall and took the Novice award after competing against other rural transit drivers from across the State.
We asked Keith what he enjoys most about SCT, his reply; “my corner office with a view (his driver seat on the bus) and the regular riders.” Keith also shared with us that the increased ridership in Salem is one of the most significant changes he has witnessed while employed at SCT.
Keith is raising two amazing children that are his world. He is an immensely proud and avid father, who enjoys doing about anything with his kids. He loves ax and knife throwing and making or creating something with his hands is also enjoyable.
We also asked Keith, if he were to put a tag line on his life, what would it be? “Popular loner, many know me, but few really know me!”
