Due to construction and road improvements along Broadway (Rt 15) in Mt. Vernon, a few of the designated intra-city shuttle stops are not accessible. In 2010 after retiring from 25 years as a Plant Manager/Supervisor of a privately owned company in the nuclear industry, John R. Elliott (aka J.R.) began at South Central Transit as a part-time driver in Jefferson County. By November of 2010 J.R. became SCT's Jefferson County Driving Supervisor.
