In 2013 SCT replaced the sale of daily tickets and monthly passes and began offering transportation money cards instead. Money cards are convenient, affordable, non-expiring and are universal or valid for use with all services provided by SCT.  This is a punch card and must be presented to the SCT driver for validation at the time of each boarding.
